Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent business experience (required)
- 1-3 years Experience in developing current and new customer relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources (required)
- Understanding of consumer credit – including loan to value, debt to income and credit reports (required)
- Foundational knowledge of sales and service techniques with clients, including tele-consulting, outside calling, prospecting, and networking (required)
- Demonstrated experience with influencing business partners and leveraging centers of influence (required)
- Working knowledge of PCs (MS Windows and Office Products including Word, Excel, etc.) (required)
- Working knowledge of digital technology (mobile, apps, web-based browsing) and ability to educate clients on digital platforms and capabilities within Key (required)
Responsibilities
- Embody a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate and realizing the impact we can have on their day, personally, professionally, and financially.
- Listen for clues for financial wellness opportunities during client conversations and provide effective and customized financial wellness recommendations to clients.
- Consistently attain individual activity, behavior, and outcome expectations.
- Open personal and business accounts (consumer checking, small business, various deposit products, home equity, unsecured lending, certificates of deposit, etc.).
- Develop strong partnerships with branch teammates and line of business partners – focusing on client acquisition and deepening the relationship of current clients; effectively manage internal and external centers of influence.
- Ensure compliance with operational, risk, security and audit procedures and policies including appropriate documentation of client interactions.
- Support branch operations including assisting with client transactions on the Teller line as needed.
- Participate in and occasionally facilitate morning huddles and end of day debriefs.
- Perform other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
- Comply with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
- Comfortable interacting with small business clients, overcoming objection, and asking fact-finding questions with the goal of being helpful (preferred)
- Notary License (preferred)
