Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- P&C Insurance License
- 1+ year experience in Personal Insurance and servicing clients.
Responsibilities
- Self-Management and development
- Meets with Supervisor to agree upon goals and performance standards to ensure alignment and gain agreement
- Presents updates to goals as indicated throughout year
- Represents Huntington Insurance as product expert by staying current of changes, trends and opportunities within the industry.
- Follow Agency Procedures
- Follow procedures as outlined in the Workflow and Procedure Manual
- Utilize available automation and software applications following proper procedures including document management, Fax Advantage and the agency management system
- Follow procedures as outlined in the Huntington Employee Handbook
- Identifies training needs to the department manager.
- Provide Customer Service to the Assigned Book of Business
- Respond to customer inquiries within 1 business day
- Takes ownership of customer (internal and external) questions and problems with resolution within 1 business day of receiving the data in order to make an informed response
- Follow required service standards (appointments, service requirements, standards of excellence, strategizing / agendas, etc.)
- Coordinate and communicate with the producer on open issues and account status
- Provides feedback to the department manager for review and resolution, any carrier issues identified.
- Assist in the Coordination and Timely Delivery of Renewals
- Oversee and direct the market survey process. This is done is conjunction with the producer if assigned
- Delivery of renewal recommendations within established time frame
- Obtain data required in order to finalize the renewal process
- Prepares and submits quote requests and tracks timely receipt
- Prepares proposal for delivery to client by Producer
- Implement policy order once renewal order has been received from the client
- Process policies in accordance with established procedures
- Identify add on lines of business and implement where possible
- Seek referrals and provide to other divisions
- Assist the producer as requested with prospects.
- Maintain Client Data
- Update policy information throughout the year per established standards
- Maintain client contact data, carriers and other pertinent information within the agency management system
- Enter activities per the established guidelines and provide timely follow up to open activities
- Utilize the document management system and naming conventions as defined within the workflow procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Sagitta and ImageRight experience highly preferred
- Exceptional time management skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional grammar and demeanor
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Problem solving skills/ability to handle complex issues
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment servicing clients and providing policy administration
- Strong PC and Internet skills to include at least an intermediate user level of Microsoft Excel and Word required
- 3 years of personal insurance experience preferred
- Possess a basic degree of Personal Insurance knowledge, exercise judgment and act independently to service a book of business.
- Prioritize effectively and respond in optimal time frames while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Act independently to service a significant volume of account activity.
