Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience
- Current TS/SCI
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
- Knowledge of government security regulations
- Knowledge of handling sensitive but unclassified information
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Alarm Response is a requirement
- 5 years of experience (for Personnel Security Specialist III)
Responsibilities
- Processes security clearances and accesses in accordance with government regulations, provides guidance on the completion of security paperwork, and tracks all clearance submissions
- Administers, executes, and ensures adherence to company and government regulations, policies, and procedures regarding the protection of certain programs
- Conducts Collateral, SCI and SAP security indoctrination briefings and debriefings
- Coordinates with Aerospace management to obtain pertinent information when processing clearance requests for employees
- Maintains security clearance records, tracking and metrics
- Counsel employees with concerns over the polygraph and background investigation processes
- Handles Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and reports sensitive adverse information to a multitude of different government customers
- Interfaces with background investigators who are required to interview employees, sub-contractors, and consultants for periodic reinvestigations
- Initiate, review, and process personnel security clearances and periodic reinvestigations (SF86s) through the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and the Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP)
- Prepare visit clearance requests, Common Access Card (CAC) and other Government badge requests. Will also facilitate access to the military installation, for visitors without military IDs
- Perform Classified Document Control functions, and destruction
- Prepare for and participate in Security Vulnerability Assessments (SVAs) and Continuous Monitoring (CM) engagements
- Conduct periodic self-inspections of security program in accordance with the NISPOM and company policies
- Conduct initial security awareness, foreign travel, annual refresher, and special security briefings
- Support the CPSO and CSSO functions as needed
- Collects and reviews Pre-Screening Questionnaires (PSQs) annually
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of DISS, SCT, Scattered Castles or SIMS databases
