Requirements

  • B.S. degree in agricultural finance, business, economics or equivalent curriculum required.
  • Master’s degree in related fields or CFA preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in agricultural or timberland investing with emphasis on analytical work and loan origination.
  • Computer proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong credit analysis and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with an extensive team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform credit review of loan originations and servicing actions, including review of credit analysis, pricing, and due diligence documentation, and prepare recommendations to senior management.
  • Develop and conduct training initiatives for credit analysts and ensure credit underwriting standards are met throughout loan originations and loan servicing processes.
  • Monitor Eastern region agricultural loan portfolio, including oversight and review of annual credit quality re-ratings and present performance reporting to senior management.
  • Manage compliance and reporting requirements including developing and enforcing standard operating procedures, responding to audit inquiries, and handling risk management functions.
  • Work with Senior Management and Staff on a wide variety of assignments, including portfolio reporting, industry updates, growth initiatives, and model development.
