Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (RPh) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
- Active pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania with license in good standing and other states and credentials as needed.
- Strong customer services and attention to detail
- Ability to manage a team
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work various schedules, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and verify medication orders with precision and accuracy.
- Review prescriber medication orders for appropriate dosing, scheduling, contraindication, allergy, drug interaction, and/or incompatibility problems.
- Communicate effectively with Veterinarians, their staff, Pet Parents as needed.
- Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians and interns. Provide ongoing training and coaching as needed.
- Maintain accurate records to follow federal and state legal requirements and pharmacy policies.
- Uphold operational standards, including performance metrics, safety and compliance.
- Perform additional duties and assignments as advised by management.
- Position may require travel.
