Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy or a Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy
- Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (either from American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Responsibilities
- Compounds and dispenses prescribed drugs per physician’s instructions
- Consults with medical staff about potential drug interactions and patient medical history
- Responds to questions from patients about medications and dosage instructions
- Ensures that all required pharmacy data is recorded and maintained and complies with all regulatory, security and hospital procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a pharmacy residency preferred
