Philanthropy Partner

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Minimum five years sales and/or fundraising experience required
Proven experience in developing strategies for donor retention growth and recapture
Excellent verbal and written skills
Knowledge of office systems: MS-Office preferred and fundraising database systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce.com)
Ability to relate well and work effectively with multiple constituencies and audiences

Develop and execute revenue generating events and lead donor cultivation activities
Manage a discrete portfolio of donors and meet or exceed an assigned annual revenue target
Oversee and act as project manager for both the Boston Marathon and the Boston Heroes Breakfast
Recruit, register, and motivate individuals who agree to fundraise for the Red Cross
Partner with corporate fundraisers to market corporate sponsorships for Team Red Cross
Ensure that all Team Red Cross runners and sponsors are engaged and feel supported
Build a relationship with the BAA and their nonprofit cohort
Drive the internal planning team for the Boston Heroes Breakfast
Propel planning and execute the event on time and on budget
Facilitate communication with the CEO and event Chair
Calendarize various meeting preps, create meeting agendas, and send meeting notes
Participate in disaster relief fundraising as appropriate

Excellent communicator who is comfortable to manage up to CDO and RE
Superior personal organization and project management skills
Fluency with Microsoft programs including Outlook and Teams
Comfort forming, managing and motivating volunteer-led fundraising committees
Experience with vendor negotiation or willing to learn
Ability to rally and direct colleagues/administrative volunteers
A calm, solution-oriented project manager motivated by delivering high quality projects
