Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum five years sales and/or fundraising experience required
- Proven experience in developing strategies for donor retention growth and recapture
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Knowledge of office systems: MS-Office preferred and fundraising database systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce.com)
- Ability to relate well and work effectively with multiple constituencies and audiences
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute revenue generating events and lead donor cultivation activities
- Manage a discrete portfolio of donors and meet or exceed an assigned annual revenue target
- Oversee and act as project manager for both the Boston Marathon and the Boston Heroes Breakfast
- Recruit, register, and motivate individuals who agree to fundraise for the Red Cross
- Partner with corporate fundraisers to market corporate sponsorships for Team Red Cross
- Ensure that all Team Red Cross runners and sponsors are engaged and feel supported
- Build a relationship with the BAA and their nonprofit cohort
- Drive the internal planning team for the Boston Heroes Breakfast
- Propel planning and execute the event on time and on budget
- Facilitate communication with the CEO and event Chair
- Calendarize various meeting preps, create meeting agendas, and send meeting notes
- Participate in disaster relief fundraising as appropriate
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent communicator who is comfortable to manage up to CDO and RE
- Superior personal organization and project management skills
- Fluency with Microsoft programs including Outlook and Teams
- Comfort forming, managing and motivating volunteer-led fundraising committees
- Experience with vendor negotiation or willing to learn
- Ability to rally and direct colleagues/administrative volunteers
- A calm, solution-oriented project manager motivated by delivering high quality projects
