Requirements
- Associates Degree in PTA from an accredited program
- Active PTA License in Kentucky
- BCLS required within 90 days of hire
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans designed and delegated by the Physical Therapist
- Monitor treatment effectiveness
- Make clinical decisions under PT supervision
- Document care per departmental policy using EMR
- Supervise students and volunteers
- Educate patients and families
- Support discharge planning
- Participate in program development and quality initiatives
- Communicate regularly with the PT
- Report changes or adverse reactions
- Ensure timely documentation for assessments and recertifications
- Ensure safety, health maintenance, and appropriate referrals
- Accurate clinical documentation and billing to support continuity of care and compliance
