Requirements
- Masters or equivalent education/experience
- PA-Physician Assistant
- CSRC-Controlled Substance Registered Certification (DEA) with CAPA CS certificate
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- National Board Certification
- DEA
- Medical knowledge and skills applicable to perform within the scope of practice
- Thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology
- Critical thinking skills as it relates to specialized departments
- Communication skills (verbal, written and listening)
- Technical and analytical skills for analysis and interpretation of test procedures and results
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to work with and collaborate across the organization and with patients and their families
- Ability to effectively lead, mentor and/or develop others
- Math aptitude skills: i.e calculation of drug doses
- Computer skills to include entering accurate information into practice management and electronic health record
- Ability to lift and position patients properly using best practices
- Ability to maintain composure during challenging interpersonal interactions
- Active listening skills
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods
- Applies mental application and concentration to handle varying procedures and interruptions
Responsibilities
- Delivers primary health care to patients by assessing physical and psychosocial conditions
- Provides medical consultation and treatment under physician supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 months related clinical experience
- Working knowledge of electronic health records such as EPIC, preferred
