Requirements

  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • Masters degree highly preferred.
  • 7 or more years of experience in quality improvement/performance improvement role within a health care setting required.
  • Experience in an ambulatory setting such as a physician office, operations, quality, surgery center required.
  • Strong project management experience desired, PMP or Black belt certification highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and effectively identify opportunities.
  • Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an ambulatory expert and leader for designated projects, remaining current on industry trends, innovations, and best practices to support member needs.
  • Develop, manage, and deliver large scale performance improvement work and benchmarking studies by maintaining awareness of industry specific topics, determining potential member impacts, and developing communications and programming.
  • May oversee review of policies, procedures, and practices for the program.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal and external business relationships, reaching out to members for follow-up activities and to communicate successes.
  • Coach others in methods to transform and engage members.
  • Convene member groups to educate members on PI processes and facilitate discussion, plan topic content for projects.
  • Identify leading practice members for knowledge transfer and webcast webinars; develop and manage relationships with external SMEs for contracting for services and follows up on expectations.
  • Evaluate the best media channels to distribute content and program information and create program promotional materials.
  • Identify outcome and process metrics for projects to evaluate member performance improvement; determines the best way to represent results.
  • Select and build projects likely to have measurable impact and monitor performance / effectiveness of program delivery; makes recommendations and leads internal teams to improve member experience.
  • Monitor program satisfaction and take appropriate actions independently to improve satisfaction for assigned responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong project management experience desired.
  • PMP or Black belt certification highly preferred.
