Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience building large-scale distributed systems
- Have designed and implemented complex software systems
- Broad knowledge of AWS, server programming, databases, and cloud architectures
- Experience working with container frameworks (Docker) and container orchestration tools (AWS ECS, Kubernetes)
- Experience with Microservices, API architecture and management
- Work experience in a global and distributed environment
- Ability to demonstrate clear communications about your architectural designs, decisions and rationale for your design direction
- Technology stack: Java/Spring, AWS/Containers, Go, R, and Python
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain an understanding of the current system’s architecture and functionality
- Develop a strategic direction for the licensing platform and ensure that the tactical direction is to support the larger strategy
- Drive broad consensus and agreement across teams and GEOs
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, maintainable software solutions
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a geographically distributed development team, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Ensure the security, performance, and reliability of the platform
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating them into the platform’s architecture by conducting code and architecture reviews
- Raise the bar within the team and across the organization
- Partner with Product Management and Business leads regarding future platform and technology issues and the effect of decisions on all projects
- Create formal networks with industry and cross organizational leadership communities to develop standards, and foster platform growth
- Work on issues where analysis of situations or data requires and evaluation of intangibles
