Requirements
- Must be either an RN, PharmD, MD, or a PA
- Must be available to work all shifts (days, nights, evenings, weekends, holidays)
- Ability to obtain critical information and provide accurate information regarding assessment and managing of potential poisoning
- Ability to document all information and exposure calls accurately
- Proficiency in Records Management, Call Center Problem Solving, and Drug Poisoning Assessments
Responsibilities
- Triages all calls and inquiries about symptoms and signs of poisonings
- Provides management and treatment recommendations
- Documents all information and exposure calls in Toxically
- Makes appropriate decisions based on triage and need for toxicologist consultation
- Reports to the director and managing director of the Tennessee Poison Center
Preferred Qualifications
- Willingness to undergo training to become a certified specialist in poison information
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
