Requirements
- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in biology, microbiology, or other related field
- Knowledge of appropriate scientific area
- Ability to analyze and interpret data
Responsibilities
- Conducting research both independently and in collaboration with a research team
- Maintaining a scientific notebook
- Preparing scientific manuscripts
- Presenting at conferences and seminars
- Performing other duties as assigned or directed by the supervisor
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency and experience in using statistical programs (e.g. R, Prism)
- Experience with microbial ecology software (e.g. mothur)
- Experience with functional metagenomics and robotics
