Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in a professional services environment, internal strategy and operations role, and/or relevant executive search experience with Private Equity clients. Spencer Stuart experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of and interest in the Private Equity and general alternative landscape.
  • Experience supporting deliverables aligned to business development and practice strategy.
  • Have a demonstrated track record of partnering across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent communication skills and credibility with senior executives and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Support strategic initiative planning and execution within the core PE team and on behalf of the business more broadly (e.g. new product development, compensation pilots, pricing analyses, coordinated GTM strategies, etc.).
  • Facilitate global PE assignment audits and other data management initiatives, partnering across teams to ensure PE data is inputted in Spencer Stuart’s internal CRM properly.
  • Partner in developing agendas, content, and other prep needed for internal team meetings and/or leadership team presentations (ELT, the Board, GPLs, RPLs, Practice Meetings, etc.).
  • In tandem with Associate Manager, Strategy and Operations, liaise with firm’s other core divisions (e.g., Legal, Technology, Marketing, Finance, etc), to identify, scope, and support projects requiring continued teamwork and/or represent the PE Business on select cross-functional needs as the team’s subject matter expert.
  • Centralize information and resources within Connect / SharePoint to have one true source of PE knowledge, quarterbacking questions from across the firm and proactively sharing data sources / research as needed.
  • Support proactive BD efforts through mappings, specialized lists, and creating enablement resources for teams to more effectively identify and pursue BD opportunities.
  • Reacting to client needs and opportunities, support other client enablement teams’ pitch material creation where possible / as needed.
  • On an ad-hoc basis, assist in comprehensive relationship analyses, outlining context, history, strengths, opportunities, and core touchpoints.
  • Support PE client leads on their coordination, business enablement, and other strategic coverage efforts, acting as a guide on how best to partner with the PE Business.
