Requirements
- 2+ years of industry experience designing and building mechanical systems for real-world applications
- Mechanical design and analysis
- Hands-on prototyping, fabrication, and assembly
- Component sourcing and selection
Responsibilities
- Design and iterate on machines, subsystems, test fixtures, inspection tools, and sensors.
- Create mechanical designs of structures, mechanisms, systems and components.
- Rapidly prototype, build, and test new designs.
- Source and select components while balancing cost, reliability, and performance.
- Small amounts of programming and electrical integration to support system operation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Light coding and scripting
- Metrology and sensor experience
- Precision engineering
- Some system design
