Requirements

  • Education Level: Minimum undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, Operations Management or similar discipline required.
  • Relevant Experience: 8+ years of Supply Chain, Commercial, O&G Operational Management, Contract Management, Strategic Sourcing or Supplier Management experience required;
  • Experience in Refining and/or Midstream Operations, Industrial Contractor Services and Project Procurement is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned categories to optimize the supply base and deliver maximum value to the business at over $1B in annual spend.
  • Develop and execute against a Mechanical Services Category Strategy that spans across a 3 -5 year time horizon with strong collaboration from key stakeholders and in alignment with corporate business objectives.
  • Lead strategic initiatives to drive supply chain transformation by implementing digital tools, optimizing sourcing strategies, and enhancing supplier collaboration to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase resilience.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key Mechanical Services suppliers to ensure premier service, establish program objectives, drive cost-competitiveness and remove barriers to success.
  • Actively seek and identify opportunities to deliver maximum value to the Business (cost savings, cost avoidance, revenue enhancement) and risk reduction.
  • Conduct market and TCO analysis in support of strategic sourcing initiatives and site-specific commercial issues for upcoming work. Develop value proposition for initiatives, supported by market data and technical factors.
  • Extensive collaboration and alignment with stakeholders to understand demand/spend profile and risks associated with the assigned category and sub-categories. Develop and manage strategic partnerships with internal and external Stakeholders.
  • Act as a Single-Point-of-Contact for Mechanical Services with key stakeholders and an effective liaison for the broader Category Management organization as needed.
  • Mentor Category Analyst and Sourcing Specialists to ensure all aspects of the category strategy are being executed.
  • Develop and track KPIs for measuring performance for key Suppliers. Facilitate issue resolution related to Supplier performance, as needed. On-board new suppliers and coordinate periodic business evaluations.
  • Deliver Category Management deliverables with ongoing communication to Stakeholders.
  • Utilize Supply Chain tools, templates and systems, as prescribed by Supply Chain.
  • Project management as needed: Analyze business objectives, develop project plans and project charters. Lead and/or facilitate cross functional teams to ensure milestones are met. Track project progress and monitor performance against plan. Facilitate meetings, prepare reports and presentations to communicate status.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data for use in decision-making and actions in support of category strategy, including TCO and should cost modeling.
  • Strong contracting skills with in-depth understanding of the various contract Terms and Conditions.
  • Strong ability to influence a large, diverse set of executive level stakeholders in a large, matrixed organization.
  • Ability to respond rapidly to emerging commercial issues, prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of business practices, safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Effective interaction skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
