Requirements

  • Four to eight years of experience in industry, consulting, or finance environments
  • Extensive experience in metals & mining consulting or direct mining company experience (in a strategy role, finance role, or operational role)
  • In-depth knowledge of the metals & mining market is critical for this position, including understanding market dynamics, supply chains, and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience in areas related to the energy sector is appreciated, preferably in roles associated to operations, energy efficiency, low-carbon energy, or sustainable practices
  • Exposure to various aspects of the energy value chain, including production, processing or distribution and consumption
  • Experience in management consulting will be a significant plus
  • The ability to work with autonomy and minimal direction once priorities are agreed is preferrable
  • Minimum qualifications are BSc. in a related field
  • A post-graduate degree is a strong plus (including in finance, economics, or business)
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills in English, knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese is appreciated
  • Must have an analytical frame of mind and be prepared to use data to back up opinions
  • Some travel is required, with an average around 20% of the time (but could occasionally be more)
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment providing ideas and open feedback

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage entire workstreams within a larger project, under the direction of the project manager
  • Contribute to business winning and business development efforts of our critical minerals consulting practice (proposals, scoping calls, conferences, etc.)
  • Deliver against each project’s plan to ensure on-time delivery of a quality set of products
  • Conduct client interviews, workshops, and presentations to gather information and present recommendations
  • Develop insights and recommendations based on data analysis and industry expertise
  • Efficiently review analysis and modelling efforts done by other team members and provide feedback for improvement
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication and understanding of client needs
  • Be able to work autonomously in the execution of consulting engagements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in management consulting will be a significant plus
  • The ability to work with autonomy and minimal direction once priorities are agreed is preferrable
