Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Experience with Software skills in C++, Python, C# are required
  • Must have experience supporting automated test stations or systems

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain ATE (Automated Test Equipment) test software for a factory/production environment which exercises and analyzes hardware deliverable products
  • Support cradle to grave efforts including requirements, design, integration, validation, verification, and maintenance for all test software activities
  • Prioritize, handle, and lead multiple tasks in a production environment
  • Troubleshooting software and hardware for test equipment development
  • Communication with an engineering team, functional team, and program leadership
  • Coordinate several projects and complex engineering activities while balancing priorities and schedules
  • Prepare and present project / technical information to peers, internal management, and customers
  • Review product designs and create test solutions that maximize test coverage in the manufacturing and service environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with software applications using C, NI LabVIEW, NI Test stand, or other test software programming languages
  • Strong technical writing skills and an ability to collaborate with a cross functional team of professionals
  • Ability to interface ATE test software with laboratory and production tests instrumentation such as but not limited to oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, and/or direct current power supplies
  • Knowledge of software Configuration Management environments such as Git/Github/Subversion
  • Experience with file transfer protocol (FTP) and data transfer between Unit Under Test and test set computer for Software/Firmware loading as well as data captures
  • Ability to reverse engineer existing equipment (i.e. documenting something that is already built)
  • Excellent time management skills – ability to unsupervised, multitask and delegate work to support technicians, engineering support staff and peers
  • Some previous experience in managing small teams through hardware builds (parts ordering, build coordination, etc.)
  • Coordinating test equipment design reviews and ensuring the generation of appropriate design documentation
  • Design and implement activities required to deploy the project test solutions to world-wide destinations
  • Highly motivated and possess effective oral/written communication and interpersonal/team skills
