Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline preferably in electrical/computer engineering (or equivalent) with 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a master’s degree with 3 years of related engineering experience
- Demonstrate ability to learn and integrate new programming languages based off previous experience
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI security clearance & special program access
Responsibilities
- General frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques
- Develop test procedures, specifications, and test limits
- Execute testing, monitor tests per specification, troubleshoot, and document all test activities
- Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks
- Understands NG test engineering practices and principles
- Understands both electrical circuits and software within the flight hardware and EGSE
- Supports EGSE and flight hardware test/troubleshooting efforts and ability to perform this tasking with little to no oversight from another Electrical Engineer
- Fully grasps escalation plan when test errors are encountered and understands when to proceed per NG/program process. Participates in anomaly resolution process while offering technical solutions for FRB approval.
- Travel and support different shifts when required
- Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity as assigned
- Has technical insight and experience to know if test set-up and results make sense
- Ability to establish and maintain infrequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts on routine matters.
- Coordinates with ITEE team lead, electrical technicians, and I&T managers to complete tasking. May participate, prepare, and present material in program review boards (PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, FRBs, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with any of the following Microsoft Visio, National Instruments LabView
- Experience with hardware or software testing and test scripting
- Minimum of five years of directly related experience in satellite test
- Demonstrated understanding of electrical test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, DMMs, signal generators, etc.)
- Experience in Electronics troubleshooting, RF test configuration testing, Environments testing (Vibration Analysis/Thermal Vacuum chamber testing)
- Programming experience with any of the following languages: Python, C, C++
- Experience in Aerospace or Defense industry (development or test)
