Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 5 years of experience; OR 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters (MS) degree OR 1 year of experience with STEM PhD degree
- Expertise with network design, architecture, specifications, and equipment selection
- Understanding of IP4 and IPv6 network design, including IP subnetting and protocols including BGP, OSPF and EIGRP
- Understanding of network device configuration and troubleshooting (ideally, Cisco IOS/IOS-XE)
- Understanding of advanced features like GRE, IPSEC, IP quality-of-service, VLANs, and multicast
- Familiar with network management protocols, like SNMP, SSH, syslog, RADIUS/TACACS
- Ability to communicate well, including proficiency with MS Office tools, including PowerPoint and Visio
- Ability to travel 10% of the time
- Must be a US Citizen
- CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 8 years of experience; OR 6 years of relevant experience with a Masters (MS) degree OR a minimum of 4 years of experience with STEM PhD degree
Responsibilities
- Play a critical role in the design, development, and delivery of the program’s network architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
- DoD 8570 Security certification such as Sec+, CASP, CISSP, or equivalent
- A professional certification specific to the networking industry like a CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or equivalent
- Familiar with network management applications, like Splunk, Firepower Management Center (FMC), and/or Cisco ISE
- Exposure to the Risk Management Framework, associated security controls, and STIGs
- Familiar with Windows, Linux, and VMWare configuration and troubleshooting
- Experience with HAIPE/TACLANE and other military COMSEC/CRYPTO equipment and procedures
- Experience with tactical/military radio networks, like Common Data Link (CDL) and ANW2
- Experience with (MIL) SATCOM equipment and services
- Experience with Cisco Unified Communications / VoIP and VTC
- Experience with Cisco Modelling Labs (CML) or Virtual Internet Routing Lab (VIRL)
- Active U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance
