Requirements
- PhD in experimental physics, electrical engineering, computer engineering or a related field; Master’s Degree, and 3 plus years of relevant professional experience; Bachelor’s Degree with 5 plus years of relevant professional experience.
- Research lab experience with good hands-on skills using electrical/ computer equipment (e.g. device analyzer, signal measurement unit, waveform generator, network analyzer etc.).
- Trouble shooting and system integration experience.
- Skilled coding for lab testing and data analysis. (e.g. Python, Matlab, C, C++)
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
- Demonstrated analytic skills and data analysis experience.
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS/SCI) with polygraph clearance.
Responsibilities
- Characterize the electrical/ thermal properties and performance of semiconductor and superconductor devices at cryogenic temperatures.
- Develop and implement advanced test equipment, methods, and procedures for above.
- Collect, analyze, interpret and manage test data.
- Effectively summarize and communicate results to peers and stakeholders.
- Support the current and future development of test platforms within function, cost, and schedule constraints.
- Document equipment and test requirements/ procedures.
- Help define changes to improve testing methodology, equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.
- Collaborate with test/ design/ software/ operations teams and leadership to assess device function/ performance, understand potential impact to circuit/ system applications, and work to advance.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in experimental physics, electrical engineering, computer engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of the principles of microelectronic device physics and demonstrated application to testing of semiconductor devices.
- Experience in cryogenic laboratory environment.
- Experience in leading projects or small technical teams.
- Experience in low current measurements, advanced test development, operations, and automation.
- Experience in applied noise characterization and applied RF testing of CMOS devices.
- Experience in applied BSIM model development and validation.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
