Requirements

  • MA/MS degree and 12+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project OR a BA/BS and 20+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SysML
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MBSE tools knowledge (e.g., CAMEO, Rhapsody, System Architect, etc.)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA)
  • Digital Engineering concepts and tools such as enterprise architectures, authoritative data sources and data mesh, cross-organizational data-driven workflows, etc.
  • Demonstrated Software Engineering design and architecture knowledge to include object-oriented principles, layered architectures, and containerization
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office tool suite
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction/instruction in a fast-paced office environment alongside highly skilled coworkers

Responsibilities

  • Support MDA with digital twin development oversight for the THAAD Software Modularity modernization effort.
  • Assist IESP Lead with managing the technical aspects of all assigned oversight efforts.
  • Collaborate and coordinate on technical efforts with multiple internal and external agencies and stakeholders.
  • Identify deficiencies and shortcomings in planned or ongoing design reviews and provide options for fixing them.
  • Identify, document, and communicate potential solutions/mitigations for technical deficiencies.
  • Actively participate in regular and ad hoc design meetings and technical exchanges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Applying MBSE concepts to complex weapon system architectures
  • Knowledge of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) weapon system
  • Background in Missile defense systems – especially interceptors, engagement operations, fire control, and force operations
  • Experience with Missile Defense Agency
  • Exposure to models and simulation (M&S) with complex weapon system applications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
  • Demonstrated ability to work alongside Government, Prime Contractor, and Subcontractor coworkers in a collaborative badgeless environment
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate across organizational boundaries
