Principal Systems Engineer – NG Space Systems

Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree in STEM with 3 years of related experience
Active SCI access and/or DoD Top Secret clearance
Active DoD Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI access or active SCI access
Experience in test procedure development, test planning, and/or integration and test
Working knowledge of systems engineering principles and processes
Experience in troubleshooting of complex systems
Experience working with Software teams
Working knowledge of Linux operating systems
Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, often for extended periods (up to three months’ duration)

Troubleshoot and develop solutions to complex problems that the program may encounter
Develop, author and/or provide input to major program data products and other deliverables, including MARs
Technical management of program elements
Plan and conduct technical reviews and technical baseline
Mentor, coach, train, guide, direct, and advise junior staff
Able to recognize and mitigate technical issues and risks while operating within budget and on schedule
The candidate will work with cross-discipline team members and must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse community of engineers and managers to achieve the goals of the program team.

Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or other STEM-related field
Experience with Ground and Space systems and/or Command and Control systems
Experience processing and updating Mathematical Algorithm Reports (MARs)
Experience in working as part of a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
