Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Sonography Program
- Registered through the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Basic life support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations
- Breast ultrasound experience
Responsibilities
- Perform routine imaging, emergent and invasive procedures to detect pathology
- Safely operate equipment and maintain standards while performing procedures
- Provide copies of imaging studies
- Complete and ensure that all electronic data is sent to its appropriate destination
- Inspect equipment to ensure proper orientation and contact service if necessary
- Document in charts upon completion of procedures
- Maintain adequate supplies in the work area
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of experience as a Sonographer in an acute care imaging setting
