Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (7 years) in process analysis, preferably in a distribution or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization using software such as Excel, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Experience with process mapping, time-motion studies, and process simulation.
- Familiarity with distribution center operations, including order picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with distribution center equipment’s, including conveyor system, print and apply system and other automation equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across different teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Project management experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of existing distribution center processes and workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, feedback, and insights to make informed decisions on process enhancements.
- Design, develop, and implement process improvement initiatives that align with the distribution center’s strategic goals and objectives.
- Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to eliminate waste, reduce cycle times, and enhance overall operational effectiveness.
- Collect and analyze data to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to distribution center operations.
- Develop and maintain performance dashboards and reports to provide visibility into process performance and improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement technological solutions such as automation, robotics, and software systems to optimize distribution processes.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless integration of technology into existing operations.
- Lead change management efforts to ensure successful implementation of process improvements, including training, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the distribution center by promoting best practices, sharing insights, and facilitating process improvement workshops.
- Ensure all process changes adhere to safety regulations and compliance standards in a distribution center environment.
- Collaborate with safety teams to identify and address potential risks associated with process modifications.
- Document new and improved processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and guidelines to ensure consistency and knowledge transfer.
- Provide training and support to distribution center staff on updated processes and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- Project management experience is a plus.
