Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/Engineering/Management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors)
- 5+ years of experience in product management, working with development teams
- Strong negotiation, organization, management, analytical and people skills
- Excellent problem-solving, conflict management and time management skills
- Ability to set clear expectations, manage team performance and build high morale among team members
- Effective presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to utilize judgment in decision making process and decisions related to job tasks
Responsibilities
- Working closely with a globally dispersed development team to execute the product roadmap and build a class leading Corporate Actions Management solution.
- Understands product strategy, market, industry, and client goals.
- Works with stakeholders to understand business problem statements and convert them into user stories.
- Owning the place between development and the client
- Working in an Agile software development team
- Managing the backlog of user stories for one or more products.
- Establishing user story acceptance criteria, accepting user stories, refining stories with Scrum teams, demonstrating sprint deliveries.
- Articulating product vision and user stories in a manner clearly understandable to development teams.
- Leading planning, grooming and review meetings with Scrum team. Communicating feedback on development achievements.
- Applying Agile methods and processes to promote a disciplined project management process that encourages frequent inspection and adaptation of ongoing work product.
- Monitoring the development progress and provides updates to stakeholders, as requested.
- Reviewing and providing feedback on test plans to ensure application changes meet acceptance criteria.
Preferred Qualifications
- The Certified Scrum Product Owner professional certification.
- Knowledge of Financial services industry
- Knowledge of FIS products and services or similar Fintech solutions
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience and systems development environment experience
