- OR Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in Marketing
- OR Master’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in Marketing
- OR equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Partners with Product to analyze customer needs and market user research to help shape recommendations for the product roadmap.
- Contributes to creation of the long-term vision and roadmap for a product and/or solution.
- Helps determine product and/or solution strategy based on customer needs, market and user research, competitive landscape, and GitHub’s business goals and strategy.
- Lead and manage end-to-end projects, deliverables, stakeholders and deadlines for Marketing Capability projects, ensuring they align with business goals and deliver value.
- Create detailed project plans, timelines, and track progress across cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and operations teams, to gather requirements and understand their needs.
- Propose and align on requirements for Marketing Capability and account based signal reporting.
- Comfortable diving into data to analyze performance metrics, and provide actionable insights to enhance tooling & processes to drive the roadmap.
- Track the impact of account based signal and CRM UI solutions on determined KPIs.
- Executes the development of messaging and positioning with stakeholders and managers.
- In partnership with others, delivers thoroughly researched messaging and positioning framework with proof points and effective storytelling.
- Develops trust with cross-functional partners and stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, Partner, Product, Design, Services, Sales) to deliver differentiated customer value and company growth.
- Builds knowledge of initiatives and programs across teams to improve and meet organizational goals.
- Creates feedback loop with sales team to ensure their continued buy-in with go-to market strategies.
- Proactively identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and potential bottlenecks, ensuring that projects meet deadlines and performance targets.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years Business-to-Business (B2B) product marketing experience.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and marketing automation platforms and understanding of sales processes is highly desirable, especially when those systems are leveraged in custom ways at scale per the business needs.
- Expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., GitHub).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, track performance metrics, and use insights to guide decision-making and the product roadmap.
