Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, etc.) or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in consumer tech product management.
  • Experience driving product launches within machine learning, AI or content recommendations products.
  • Experience driving elements of the product development life-cycle (e.g. identifying user needs, product roadmap, product requirements, collaborating with engineering during development and addressing issues that arise, product launch and Go-to-Market, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Work with User Research, Partnerships, Marketing, and Trust and Safety to identify user needs and define a multi-year goals for YouTube Kids app and for Made-for-Kids content in Main app that surfaces the best content YouTube has to offer.
  • Develop corpus logic to ensure safety while maximizing content coverage across Made-for-Kids videos. Develop safety classifiers and apply these signals in Discovery and Search.
  • Drive the application of kids quality signals to video content recommendations for Made for Kids videos.
  • Partner with policy development and Trust and Safety enforcement to ensure Made For Kids ecosystem compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a technology or business related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, business, finance, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience related to improving safety or quality in content.
  • Experience working on kids and family related products.
  • Experience with experiment design (e.g., counterfactuals, holdbacks, interpretation, etc.). and identifying new opportunities through user research and product analysis.
