Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in partnerships, investment banking, management consulting, or strategic sales
- Demonstrated experience in payments partnerships, including complexities with compliance and legal, and accelerating deal cycles with larger financial institutions
- Strong relationship management (internal and external to company), communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of the fintech landscape, including recent trends in banking-as-a-service, payments, risk management, and partnership structures
Responsibilities
- Establish product partnerships with banks and other financial services and companies to provide critical capabilities to Plaid’s payments products and roadmap
- Manage relationships and operations with key partners ongoing–including business process design and troubleshooting–and be directly responsible as the bridge between partners and Plaid’s product, engineering, and support functions
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with legal, finance, product, and compliance teams to execute partnership initiatives that align with Plaid objectives
- Provide data-driven insights and progress updates to executive leadership, highlighting key milestones, risks, and opportunities
- Stay informed of trends in payments and industry partnerships, leveraging insights to refine strategies and competitive positioning
