Requirements
- High school graduate or general education degree (GED) with 1+ years recent or comparable experience working in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Computer experience
- Ability to follow written instructions
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices helpful
- Satisfactory completion of background check
- Ability to work day shift hours of: 7 am to 3:30 pm
Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate logs, files and computer systems for material receipts, issues, returns and Lot control.
- Maintains accurate inventory levels in Kanban and reconciles shortages or overages.
- Processes daily material issues and returns.
- Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory.
- Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
- Monitor and maintain Kanban inventory levels in the designated production areas where material is stored for production use.
- Perform appropriate material transactions/functions (using computer ERP/MRP system or paper-based forms/documents) required to issues, handle and/or record materials transactions.
- Maintain a clean, neat, safe work area (i.e., sweeping, emptying trash, general cleanup).
- Escalate issues to supervisor for resolution, as deemed necessary.
- Able to operate material handling equipment (including electric and manual pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Follow all safety rules and guidelines.
- Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.
- Processing material requests in a timely manner to support manufacturing production areas.
- Participates in job rotation to be cross trained in secondary job responsibilities.
- Issues materials to production floor and maintains material traceability.
- Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.
- Understand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company.
- Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.
- Regular, reliable attendance onsite.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
