Requirements
- Post-secondary degree/diploma, preferably in industrial technology or engineering, business administration, or management
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience within a fast-paced Manufacturing environment, 3 of which must be in a supervisory role
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with hands-on problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability in order to successfully manage a diverse group of employees
- Excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation) and analytical skills
- Proven track record of operational enhancement and improvements through employee engagement, demonstrated team building talent
- Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- Knowledge of Workday is an asset
Responsibilities
- Recognize IKO values and exemplify them in your daily work
- Lead a positive change effort to improved performance by motivating, recognizing and inspiring others to be effective and efficient in their activities
- Resolve any conflict immediately and assure that behavior is in line with IKO values, ask for help if needed
- Increase employee engagement and improve the labor relations climate through participation in continuous improvement (get suggestions, report problems, participate in team problem solving sessions)
- Evaluate employee performance monthly with coaching and support to achieve results
- Champion hazard identification, evaluation and control through the behavior based safety and risk assessment programs
- Lead daily safety share, encourage and recognize all safety behavior
- Job training with STD work description, SOP and WI
- Safety training, STOP, FLRA and all others safety programs
- Ensure proper documentation and complete reports (compliance, checklists, production reports, spreadsheets, metrics, incident investigations, etc)
- Continually improve the operational efficiency of the plant by submitting ideas and solutions
- Ensure a rigorous follow-up of all 5S
- Report to the people concerned (manager, superintendent colleague, etc.) any production or safety situations or concern
- Maintain constructive and respectful relationships with all staff by communicating effectively with all departments
- For all breakdown or needed a plan repaired, make efficiently a service request to maintenance dept. as soon as possible
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Workday is an asset
