Requirements
- 3 or more years of estimating or project management experience in the heavy industrial construction industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent work experience.
- Be able to work in a team environment and be self-motivated.
- Must have a positive attitude and possess excellent motivations skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interface with owner representatives, engineering firms, subcontractors, other team members and senior management.
- Proficiency in use of computer software applications including, MS Office, HCSS or similar estimating programs, Agtek or similar earthwork programs, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledgeable in Primavera.
- Strong communication skills both written and oral.
- Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize.
- Time Management, multitasking, and prioritization.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Responsibilities
- Estimating, project control, scheduling, quantity tracking.
- Support a team consisting of Project Manager, Project Engineers, Superintendents, and other staff.
- Build relationships and communicate with owners, design partners, subcontractors, & workforce.
- Review shop drawing, submittals and schedules, and process RFIs.
- Monitoring the quality control, safety and environmental programs.
- Understand and assist with project layout.
- Identify critical work items, and procure long-lead items.
- Assist with monthly billings, cash flow projections, and process change orders.
- Manage document control including submittals schedules, contract documents, shop drawings, etc.
- Assist with delivery, inventory, and warehousing of materials and equipment.
- Resolve field problems and conflicts with subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce.
- Maintaining as-built drawings & manuals.
- Attend and/or lead meetings.
- Other duties as assigned
