Requirements

  • Security Clearance: Secret
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical or business-related discipline or 10 years MOS and Network Services related experience.
  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • Experience in developing requirements, evaluating proposals, and overseeing subcontractor performance and compliance
  • Understanding of project management principles to effectively manage cost, schedule, and scope
  • Able to handle shifting priorities and possess excellent time management skills to complete tasks within required timeframes with little to no supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with stakeholders
  • Ability to manage project budgets, identify financial issues, and develop Rough Order of Magnitudes (ROMs)
  • Knowledge of process improvement techniques and ability to direct improvement initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Conduct project management for individually assigned project(s)
  • SMX POC to answer customer RFIs
  • Executes and monitors project activities
  • Manages changes to scope, cost and schedule of project work
  • Prepares and updates project plans, status reports, and lessons learned
  • Coordinates cross-functional meetings of personnel related to project
  • Allocates appropriate resources to ensure projects are completed within given time and budget
  • Create, submit, and track equipment procurement documentation
  • Conduct site surveys, verify and inspect equipment, and coordinate CONUS/OCONUS equipment deliveries
  • Identify and coordinate with subcontractors necessary for equipment assembly, installation, and checkout
  • Establishes communications with customers
  • Participates in project performance review meetings and discussions
  • Updates and maintains production and quality metrics for assigned projects
  • Provides support to the Contract Manager for operational direction and oversight
  • Ensures that contract service, quality, and performance requirements are met and compliance with standard operating procedures (SOP) is maintained
  • Advises the Contract Manager of any contractual issues that may result in Contracting Office action and of any anticipated or proposed adverse personnel actions
  • Works cooperatively with the Contract Manager in developing short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures in accordance with contract parameters
  • Works with team to problem-solve and facilitates issue resolution
  • Travel: 20-30% per year

Preferred Qualifications

  • Security Clearance: TS with SCI eligibility
  • 12 years’ experience MOS and Network Services experience
  • Defense services program experience in the following fields: C4ISR, operations, and/or engineering
  • Position is hybrid with preference for SMX Southern Maryland offices or Eastern time Zone
