Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in project management, preferably in the real estate or construction industry.
  • Proficiency in project management software, including BlueBeam; SmartSheet; AutoCAD
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate project teams, ensuring high levels of engagement and performance.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Review bid documents and project requirements for gas station construction projects.
  • Participate in project turnover meetings with construction, engineering, and environmental personnel.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of geotechnical reports and plan specifications across various disciplines (stormwater, sanitary, paving, concrete, architectural, structural, MEP, landscaping/irrigation).
  • Partner with construction teams to develop pre-bid meeting notes and conduct on-site pre-bid meetings with contractors and engineers.
  • Assist in bid analysis, contractor selection, and budget development.
  • Help develop initial project schedules/timelines with contractors and scheduling consultants.
  • Route project submittals through project management software.
  • Schedule and lead on-site pre-construction meetings with local jurisdictions, DOT, and construction teams.
  • Conduct regular site visits (minimum bi-weekly) to review project progress, documents, and ongoing tasks.
  • Oversee critical construction phases such as tank excavation, concrete pouring, and building construction.
  • Verify compliance with design specifications and construction standards.
  • Conduct and document inspections at various stages of construction.
  • Coordinate with various departments (Environmental, Operations) for specialized testing and walk-throughs.
  • Manage punch lists and ensure timely completion of outstanding items.
  • Oversee store opening procedures and post-opening walks.
