Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline) plus a minimum of 7 years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, including sourcing, cost analysis, and contract generation.
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR) and Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA).
  • Experience in supplier selection and negotiation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with various functions within the organization.
  • Attention to detail and ability to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze subcontractor costs and develop negotiation strategies.
  • Ability to manage subcontractor risk and develop mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee all subcontract-related activities during the proposal stage, ensuring that subcontractors are engaged and contribute effectively to the proposal.
  • Create and manage templates for Requests for Quotes (RFQs) to be sent to potential subcontractors, ensuring they are comprehensive and compliant with company and customer requirements.
  • Provide pricing information that will be used to support cost proposals being made to Moog customers.
  • Work with the proposal team to analyze subcontractor costs, develop negotiation strategies, and ensure that the overall proposal is cost-competitive and achievable.
  • Ensure that all subcontract-related activities comply with relevant regulations, policies, and contractual requirements.
  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with subcontractors and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on the proposal and project.
  • Responsible for understanding and applying, as appropriate, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR), Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA), and Moog policies and procedures regarding cost estimation and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Moog Estimating System and customer RFP requirements is a plus.
