Requirements
- 1-2 years’ experience in an office environment
- Advance knowledge of Excel
- Advanced computer skills
- Experience working in a team environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with internal and external customers
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to hold oneself accountable and possesses a high degree of self-awareness
Responsibilities
- Interact with trade partners by helping Purchasing Agent conduct buyouts for specific categories and communities
- Analyze purchase orders for direct construction and option costs
- Prepare and analyze pre-sale and pre-construction profit margins (tie-outs) by reviewing sales & options contracts
- Identify areas for profit margin improvement & communicate findings to stakeholders
- Review purchasing contracts/change orders
- Managing special projects as assigned
- Develop and implement efficient procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending process changes
- Answer financial questions by researching and interpreting cost/margin data
- Other tasks as assigned
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS in Accounting/Finance/Business or related degree
- Experience in Purchasing
- Experience working independently while carrying out assignments based on instructions given
- Experience in the home building industry
