Requirements
- 3+ years in a software Quality Assurance role
- Experience devising test strategies, creating test plans and test cases
- Hands-on experience testing web/SaaS applications
- Have worked with SQL and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, MSSQL, etc.) including creating and executing queries
- API testing using postman or similar tools
- Agile/SCRUM experience
- Issue/Project Tracking tools (such as JIRA)
- Application Performance Monitoring tools (such as New Relic, Sentry)
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Ability to prioritize and address multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
Responsibilities
- Create and execute functional test plans and test cases
- Assist with root cause analysis for defects and performance issues
- Perform project and defect tracking for assigned areas
- Work constructively with the Payscale development team to solve tough challenges efficiently in an always changing environment
- Contribute to continuous process improvement within the QA team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with TestRail or similar testing tool
- Automation testing experience
- Experience working with Selenium
- Performance/load testing
- Understand public cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS)
