Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering or engineering or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in operations; manufacturing environment highly preferred
- Familiarity with CMM & automated inspection equipment (programming, 3-D printing software and xtuple a plus)
Responsibilities
- Support Product Integrity and Compliance to procedural, contractual and regulatory requirements to test, analyze and ensure product quality
- Ensure product quality complies with company and industry quality standards
- Install strong Quality process control; Leverage Quality Assurance procedures and Control Plan (IQC, IPQC and FQA, control of non-conforming materials); create/improve Standard Operating Procedures and deliver training to the operators regarding new improved standard work
- Plan & execute all MRB activity to include: RCCA activity with internal and external (supplier) representatives, applying all Lean/QC Tools (Kaizen, 5-Why, 8D etc.) as appropriate to drive COPQ reduction
- Lead effort to leverage new technology and improve product quality, QA productivity, and reduce dependency on manual layout of parts
- Be included in new product planning & execution, Contract review, tracking and validation and support FAIR, PPAP, and PFMEA activities as needed
- Work together with relevant teams and departments to improve products and reduce scrap and ensure production staff work to correct processes to meet company quality requirements
- Implement measures to improve and develop the Quality Management System, prepare reports, and handle audit activity as required
- Become proficient in ETQ and PQP to facilitate transition to these programs and initiatives
- Conduct Inspection activity and train other inspectors as needed to support the business and other duties assigned by Quality Manager
