Requirements
- B.S. degree in scientific field
- 0-5 years’ experience in process engineering or quality control manufacturing environment or relevant Co-op experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills
- Effective problem-solving skills and process/product relationship knowledge
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office® Suite
- Attention to detail, data accuracy
Responsibilities
- Design tooling using Solidworks to meet product specifications that will be used to construct the tire
- Create specifications to be used in the manufacturing process
- Conduct tests to ensure tooling is creating quality products for production
- Study potential improvements for process performance
- Monitor quality results to ensure products are performing as expected
- Study and industrialize new materials for use in the production process
- Work with other departments to resolve quality issues
- Lead/Participate in quality planning for products, materials, processes, and methods
- Draw logical conclusions based on in depth analysis of information
- Recognize causes and consequences of actions and events that are not likely apparent
- Anticipate obstacles considering next steps
- Persuade by appealing to reason using data, facts and examples
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with quality protocols and understanding of ISO requirements is preferred
- Knowledge of SolidWorks design software is preferred, but not required
