Requirements
- Two-year degree in a science-based field
- Two or more years analytical chemistry laboratory experience
- Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
- Basic computer skills required
Responsibilities
- Test pharmaceutical and biological raw materials for animal health production according to government and company standards
- Conduct laboratory investigations for questionable or out-of-specification results
- Train new analysts on analytical testing
- Troubleshoot issues and assist analysts with testing and instrumentation
- Ensure testing follows established test procedures utilizing analytical instrumentation, Computer Data Acquisition Systems (CDAS) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), CGMPs, Company Quality Standards and FDA/EU Guidelines
- Adhere to testing schedules to accomplish a high volume of critical work without compromising the integrity of the results
- Communicate effectively with lead analysts and colleagues
- Communicate effectively with manufacturing to ensure timelines are met
Preferred Qualifications
- BS in chemistry or Biochemistry
- Four years analytical chemistry laboratory experience
