Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in physics, chemistry, biology, engineering or other relevant discipline
- At least 4 years experience directly related to contract performance
- At least 2 years experience in a supervisory / leadership capacity or equivalent
- Must be willing and able to work in an industrial environment that is in close proximity to and / or in a radiological facility
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of team members
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance
Responsibilities
- Foster and lead safe, efficient radiological and laboratory activities that prioritize the health and safety of the workers, the public, and the environment
- Serve as main point of contact for development of radiological and laboratory programs and procedures to support operation of facility
- Assist facility design, construction, and systemization activities as needed to ensure laboratory functional needs are met
- Manage daily radiological / laboratory activities, including direct oversight of supporting personnel
- Assume ownership of radiological dose monitoring program for facility personnel and subsequent reporting process
- Ensure facility compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and protocol, including hazardous waste disposal
- Assist facility operations manager as needed during operations, maintenance, and testing activities
Preferred Qualifications
- Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) certification
- Supervisory experience in hazardous, critical environments
- Active Secret Clearance
