Requirements
- Electrical Engineering or closely related degree required.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- An active DoD Secret clearance.
- Must have demonstrable proficiency with troubleshooting electronic and electrical systems.
- Must be internally motivated, having a “self-starter” type personality.
- The successful candidate will be reliable and can be trusted to work consistently on tasks without close supervision, individually, or as part of a small team.
Responsibilities
- Development of analog and digital circuitry for processing of waveforms received and transmitted via underwater transducers.
- Installing, checking out, operating and uninstalling sophisticated modular electronic systems for tracking naval test vessels.
- Evaluating operational systems and recommending design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements.
- Using National Instruments data acquisition devices and LabVIEW software, including graphical user interfaces, to develop and troubleshoot high-precision systems for test vessel tracking and position monitoring.
