Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required (Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science preferred)
  • 5-8+ years technical experience, preferably in a manufacturing R&D or Process role across multiple technical processes
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage design choices positively impacting market position
  • Experience leading product and process development projects with demonstrated sustained results
  • Demonstration of synthesizing information across a range of inputs and applying to business results
  • Demonstrated expertise in multiple technologies/processes leveraged to deliver value to the organization and business relationship
  • Demonstrated ability applying tools within Project Management, Design of Experiment, Design for Lean Six Sigma and Statistical Analysis

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical development and market support of any identified engineered films (battery, solar, etc.) opportunities.
  • Become the technical subject matter expert in applicable fields through: Deep dive analysis of competitive intellectual property, understanding of regulatory and quality requirements for products, and collaboration with global Amcor R&D.
  • Prove Amcor technical capability by producing films and evaluating internally and with development partners.
  • Demonstrate basic technical skills and aptitude for problem solving Become familiar with different problem solving tools in leveraging internal and organizational curiosity to apply new ideas.
  • Development of detailed project timelines, risk analysis, and CTQs for all potential opportunities.
  • Contribute to the definition of critical to quality specifications; author development technical specifications, waivers, etc.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences as Amcor technical representative, forming relationships with industry contacts.
  • Collaborate to understand customer needs and rapidly drive the design, development and implementation of products and/or processes aligned to customer/market needs and business strategy.
  • Collaborate with areas such as Engineering, Operations and Quality to resolve technical challenges, supporting sustained solution ownership.
