Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree; Minimum of 7+ years of experience in leading a team and driving growth businesses
  • Experience building high performing teams, with a focus on culture and compliance, and launch excellence
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and drive results, as well as manage by influence and work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent skills in the development of business plans, utilization of resources and budget to optimize Region potential
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Demonstrates high ethical and performance standards with all business contacts in order to maintain Ultragenyx exceptional reputation within the medical, pharmaceutical and Rare Disease community
  • Approximately 60-70% travel is required including overnight travel as needed
  • Must live in territory geography. Territory includes: TX, OH, MI, IN, KY, TN, AR, OK, AL, MS, LA, GA, & FL. Territory subject to change based on business need

Responsibilities

  • Lead a diverse and experienced Regional Team including recruiting, hiring, and retaining of talented Commercial Field professionals
  • Lead and coach a Regional Team to set, evaluate and exceed performance expectations
  • Ensure that team is equipped to address new product launches, field market requests, customer service issues and challenges, with a sense of urgency and accountability
  • Coach Regional Team to deliver education on disease and brands and engaging with and develop strong relationships with HCPs
  • Advance care within the Rare Disease Community
  • Understand healthcare trends in the Rare Disease Community and create pull through tactics and solutions to mitigate market access challenges
  • Ability to analyze complex data to develop strategic and actionable business plans
  • Ensure the field team works in a compliant manner consistent with the company’s policies and procedures while helping maintain a culture of compliance, integrity, and transparency
  • Drive change through influence and innovation
