Requirements

• Pass the NCLEX-RN
• Active RN license in the state working in
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing required
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Excellent patient relation and customer services skills
• Working knowledge of HIPAA & OSHA compliance

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective provider(s)
• Assist provider in medical, cosmetic, and/or laser procedures
• Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization, and/or procedures within established guidelines
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps to the best of their ability
• Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment or pre- and post-operative instructions as needed
• Provide UVB treatments, PDT treatments, and injections of Biologics under MD, DO or APP supervision
• Daily scan all retail, cosmetic products, medical supplies, and alert Lead and/or office management of any low-level supplies
• Maintain progress notes and/or photographs in appropriate database, when applicable
• Handle clients’/patients’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested
• Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor on an as needed basis

Preferred Qualifications

• Dermatology experience strongly preferred
