Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Engineering, Business, or related field from an accredited college or university required.
  • One or more years experience in analyzing complex data required.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
  • Advanced skills using spreadsheet and database software applications required.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required for Regulatory Specialist.
  • Five or more years of relevant experience required for Regulatory Specialist.
  • Specific experience in State or Federal Regulatory or legal field required for Regulatory Specialist.
  • Three or more years of supervisory or high-level team/project leadership required for Regulatory Specialist.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required for Regulatory Consultant.
  • Seven or more years of relevant experience with at least 5 years of that experience in the utility industry is required for Regulatory Consultant.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical support and technical expertise to Rate and Regulatory Functions as assigned.
  • Provide support for the design of electric and gas rate structures utilizing sound economic principles.
  • Prepare rate impact analyses, and comparisons of rate realizations among utilities.
  • Assist with maintaining the Company’s cost of service model and support modifications as required by changes to the utility infrastructure or ratemaking initiatives.
  • Assist in the development of analytical, financial, and operational tools to aid utility personnel in administering the Company’s tariffs and policies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or active commitment to obtaining a Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience involving the application of utility tariffs and policies preferred.
  • An understanding of electric and gas utility delivery systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of ratemaking principles and cost-causation desirable.
