Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a product manager working with legal, policy, and product teams, with a strong focus on privacy, data protection, regulatory compliance, operational risk management, audit, or information security.
  • Experience building data control features and platforms for consumer-facing products.
  • Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills, particularly in cross-functional and global roles.
  • Proven cross-functional collaboration with legal, policy, engineering, design, and product teams to integrate privacy and data protection requirements into product development, policies, and operations.
  • Experience conducting quantitative and statistical product analysis.
  • Strong product management, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a track record of delivering operational results.
  • Expertise in cookie management and consent management.
  • Familiarity with global privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and other emerging privacy laws.
  • Ability to drive alignment across cross-functional teams and navigate competing perspectives effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive the privacy compliance product roadmap for new legal obligations, particularly focusing on cookie management, data logging, and data reporting.
  • Translate complex regulatory requirements into concise, clear, and executable functional requirements for product teams.
  • Develop and implement compliance strategies in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Work with distributed feature teams to track and execute regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Drive escalations through governance forums and ensure alignment with key stakeholders.
  • Scale regulatory readiness efforts through process optimization, training, and communication materials.
  • Lead data and privacy transparency reporting efforts for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with engineers, designers, and data analysts to build and implement privacy features that meet compliance requirements and enhance user trust.
  • Conduct gap analyses to identify discrepancies between regulatory requirements and existing product strategies, supporting necessary adjustments.
  • Guide other product and program managers in navigating new privacy/data regulations and best practices.
  • Prepare communication materials and progress tracking for senior leadership and other stakeholders.
