Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Applied Science or equivalent with minimum 3-5 years’ relevant work experience.
- Professional Engineer status from provincial association in jurisdictions with professional associations
- Manages own time and can address numerous issues simultaneously
- Developed interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively with broad stakeholders
- Good knowledge of applicable Codes, Standards and Regulatory requirements
Responsibilities
- Develops scope and all technical details for maintenance jobs in SAP that are approved to proceed and need technical input (rotating, piping and Electrical & Instrumentation disciplines)
- Draft redlines and define scopes for unplanned repairs
- First call when reliability support is required for any failures, troubleshooting or on-site support
- Attend daily work selection meetings and PUT meetings as-needed to review/understand notifications requiring technical scopes.
- Complete investigations for failures, should they occur
- Leads MOC’s related to maintenance or reliability work for the Production Unit Team (PUT).
- Manages any short-term threats identified by the PUT, investigating and defining a path forward.
- Maintenance Engineers will review each others’ technical scopes as required to comply with the Suncor Professional Practice Management Plan
