Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Five years of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience
- Use of Design for Reliability or Design of Experiments, and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
- Development of Physics of Failure (PoF) based modeling
- Management or execution of reliability tests, such as accelerated Life Test (ALT), Highly Accelerated Life Test (HALT), Environmental Stress Screening, etc.
- Reliability analysis and reliability system modeling
- Reliability test plans creation/development
Responsibilities
- Implementing all the reliability requirements across different subsystems
- Working with design engineers to understand the physics of failure and applying them to designing accelerated test methods
- Designing and building test setups for different loading scenarios – fatigue, vibration and shock, temperature, and humidity, etc.
- Performing root cause failure analysis at different stages of testing
- Preparing concise and detailed test plans, analyzing test reports, and presenting results to all relevant stakeholders
