Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Five (5) years of post-bachelor, progressive, related work experience
- Participating in AutoCAD modeling, including Creo or SolidWorks
- Leading R&D product development projects
- Performing functional planning, requirement generation and technical reviews for all product development phases
- Utilizing experimental, computational or analytical methods to develop technical solutions
- Applying statistical methods like DoE for data analysis and report generation
- Participation in design transfer and process implementation projects within a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Six Sigma practices and methodologies
Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced biomedical solutions for existing and new medical device products
- Participate in designing in vivo and in vitro models for product evaluations
- Determine approaches to complex solutions using engineering principles
- Create robust test methods and fixtures while executing measurement system analysis
- Lead benchtop studies, conduct tolerance stack up analysis, and perform design verification and validation
- Contribute to material, design, and process changes for existing products
- Act as a prime technical contact on contracts and projects
- Evaluate new business opportunities and contribute to the development of new product capabilities and methodologies
